Can I board the train with the QR code? Should I exchange my QR code?

IF YOU PURCHASE WITH US AND RECEIVE AN E-VOUCHER (a QR code to scan at a ticket machine to print your paper tickets):

You MUST redeem your QR code at the JR ticket machines in train stations and receive your physical train tickets before you take the train.

IF YOU PURCHASE WITH US AND RECEIVE AN E-TICKET(a QR code to scan at the ticket gate with no exchange required):

You do not need to exchange your QR code before taking the train - simply scan it at the ticket gate and board your train!
