Can I modify my train ticket order after purchase?

Japan Experience allows for ONE modification request of the time of departure (changes to destination, route or date of departure are NOT possible*). Modification is only possible for us under the following conditions:

  • If you have not yet scanned your QR code, Japan Experience can modify your train time up to 3 working days before the departure date, and send you a new QR code for new ticket(s), at no extra cost.
  • After the train departure time, you cannot modify your ticket. However if you have missed your train, don't worry - you can still use the ticket to board a later departing train on the same day and same route, just note that you must sit in a non-reserved seat as your seat reservation will have been lost.
  • If you want to modify your ticket a second time, this is NOT possible so you will need to cancel your ticket by contacting us, and then make a new booking.

 

*If you want to change the destination, route, or date of your ticket(s) you will need to cancel your order with us and make a new booking.
