Haneda International Airport (HND) is the closest airport to Tokyo’s city center. Depending on the transfer option and the traffic conditions, travel can take as little as 20 minutes up to 40 minutes.

Welcome Suica: With one of our Welcome Suica cards, you’ll get a free transfer from Haneda Airport to Tokyo! This practical IC prepaid card, which has replaced the Suica and Pasmo cards, gives you access to free rides on JR lines in the Tokyo area on the first day of use, including the Tokyo Monorail line!

The Tokyo Monorail transports you from Haneda to Hamamatsucho station, where you can then transfer to the JR Yamanote Line, also free to use on the first day of the card’s use. You could also hop on a Tokyo Metro line instead, but you will need to charge your Welcome Suica before riding.

Limousine Bus: This express bus service links the Airport Terminals (1, 2 and 3) at Haneda Airport with the Shinjuku area of Tokyo. The buses serve a number of destinations in the Shinjuku area, always near major hotels or train stations (including on the JR Yamanote line). You can also take up to two pieces of luggage per person at no extra charge, so this is a great option if you have bulky luggage that you don’t want to struggle with on the train.
