If you lose your train ticket, please tell the ticket office or train attendant at the station, and purchase another of the same ticket (for the same train, route, class, etc) for re-issue. The ticket will be marked as "lost".

Please ask the ticket agent at the ticket gate to certify the re-purchased ticket, and be sure to take the ticket back with you and keep it safe.

If you find the original lost ticket within a year, you must present both the ticket you re-purchased AND the ticket you originally purchased (the "Lost Ticket") at the nearest JR station. A refund will be made for the re-purchased ticket after deducting a handling charge of 220 yen each for the boarding ticket and unreserved seat express ticket, and 340 yen for the reserved seat express ticket.

If the re-purchased ticket is not the same ticket as the "lost ticket"(same route, train, class, etc), it may not be reimbursed.

NOTE: This service does not apply to some "special tickets," ordinary coupon tickets, and commuter passes. Please be very careful not to lose them.
