How to get a refund on your Hakone Free Pass in the event of bad weather

If during your stay in the Hakone area, the train and cable car services are interrupted due to poor weather, it is possible to get a refund of your Hakone Free Pass.

In this case, the ticket price will be refunded to Pass holders at the Odakyu Sightseeing Service Centre. 

Please note that in order to receive a refund, you must not have boarded any of the interrupted transport services.

The Odakyu Sightseeing Service Centre can be found at the following locations:

- Odakyu Sightseeing Service Center, Shinjuku West

- Odakyu Sightseeing Service Center, Odawara

Once the voucher has been exchanged Japan Experience is not able to offer a refund for any service disruption, therefore you must approach the Odakyu Sightseeing Service Centre before leaving the area
