If you selected the incorrect nationality when entering the information on your JR Pass voucher, please rest assured this will not be a problem.


This information is for our own records and is not printed on the voucher itself, so JR staff will still exchange your voucher as long as the passenger name on it is correct and matches the one in your passport.


The nationality will only be an issue if you are a Japanese national, as certain eligibility rules apply, in which case we suggest you read the information available for Japanese and customers with dual (Japanese) nationality.
