Japan Rail Pass - Middle Names and titles

Only the passenger's first name and last name need to be printed on the voucher. Middle names are optional and not required, so if they are omitted this will not affect the validity of your voucher. However you can include middle names if you want to.

As long as your first and last names are spelled correctly and match those in your passport, the name order does not actually matter. Your voucher will be accepted by JR staff in Japan with no issue.

To reiterate, only your first name and last name are actually needed, just please ensure they are correctly spelled. Shortened names or nicknames (eg: Andy instead of Andrew, Becky instead of Rebecca) are NOT accepted.

Titles are no longer printed on the voucher either, so don't worry if you selected MR instead of MRS/MS or viceversa.
