The Japan Rail Pass voucher is refundable, if it has never been exchanged in Japan, for up to one year after the purchase date.
There is a 15% cancellation fee which will be deducted from your refund, unless you purchased our "JRP Care" option, which allows for a full refund. Please note that there are no exceptions to the cancellation fees, but if you have travel insurance we can of course provide you with an invoice to claim any fees.
To receive your refund all you need to do is return the original unused voucher(s) to your nearest Japan Experience Office, it does not matter to which office you return the vouchers to, please choose the one most convenient for you, a list is below.

You must use a tracked or registered postal service, as we are not responsible for lost post, if the item gets lost in the post we can assist as long as there is a tracking number to prove that it has been sent, please note that we are not responsible for items sent without a tracking number.
After receiving the JR pass voucher(s), we will refund you back to the credit card that was used to place the initial order, but if you have paid by bank transfer please include your bank details with the voucher, or contact us again for further information.
You don't need to send the tracking number to us, your refund will be processed shortly after receipt but be aware that some offices may take slightly longer - usually within 21 working days, depending on the workload.
