You may have noticed that prices change frequently on our website. Our prices are based on the fluctuation of the exchange rate with the Japanese Yen, as this is the currency in which we purchase our products.
Although it’s not a totally new concept and many companies have been using it over the years, dynamic pricing is something that’s much more relevant in this new era of e-commerce companies. Simply put, dynamic pricing is a strategy where product prices are continually adjusted, sometimes within minutes, in response to real-time supply and demand, this is a practice well known within the tourism industry.
Companies often adjust product prices based on algorithms that take into account competitors' prices, supply and demand, and other external factors such as currency fluctuation.
Dynamic pricing is common practice in many industries such as hotels, travel, entertainment, retail, electricity, and public transport.
