Hello Kitty Shinkansen

The Hello Kitty Shinkansen, known officially as the "Hello Kitty Shinkansen 500 Series" is a special, themed bullet train operated by JR West in Japan since June 2018.

The train's interior and exterior showcase a vibrant Hello Kitty theme, featuring the popular Sanrio character Hello Kitty, along with her friends and various designs inspired by the franchise. 

It runs from Shin-Osaka to Hakata Station (Fukuoka) as a Kodama Shinkansen train. This means that you can use your JR Pass to board the train and to make seat reservations, at no extra cost.
