If you have lost your ticket, please tell the ticket office or train attendant at the station and purchase another ticket for the same section, train, facilities, etc., for re-issue (the ticket will be marked "Lost and Found" or "Lost").

If the "lost ticket" is a "Value Ticket" or a ticket for a travel product, etc. (a ticket labeled (ki) ticket, Kodama ticket, Shinkansen e-ticket, etc.), please purchase a ticket with the same conditions of use (same section, train, facilities, etc.) and without discount.

If you lose your "Value Ticket", it may be possible to purchase the same "Value Ticket" again before it is used. However, if you re-purchase a "Value Ticket", it will not be subject to the following services.

Please ask the ticket agent at the ticket gate to certify the re-purchased ticket and be sure to take the ticket back with you.

If you find a ticket that has been lost within a year, you must present both the ticket you re-purchased and the ticket you originally purchased (the "Lost Ticket") at the nearest JR station (if the "Lost Ticket" is a "Value Ticket," at the station where the ticket was sold or at the station where your trip ended, or at the station where the "Lost Ticket" is a "Special Ticket," at the station where the ticket was purchased or at the station where your trip ended). If the ticket is a ticket for a travel product, please bring it to the travel agency where you purchased it. A refund will be made for the re-purchased ticket after deducting a handling charge of 220 yen each for the boarding ticket and unreserved seat express ticket, and 340 yen for the reserved seat express ticket.

If the re-purchased ticket is not the same ticket (same section, train, facilities, etc.) as the "lost ticket," it may not be reimbursed. In addition, if the "lost ticket" has a discount, the refund amount may differ from the above.

In addition, if the "lost ticket" is a "special ticket" or a ticket for a travel product, etc., and the re-purchased ticket does not have the same conditions of use as the "lost ticket" (same section, train, facilities, etc.), or if it is confirmed that the ticket was not used under the same conditions of use as the "lost ticket the refund may not be possible or the amount of refund may differ from the above.
(Note) Some "special tickets," ordinary coupon tickets, and commuter passes are not applicable to this service. Please be careful not to lose them.
