My Japan Rail Pass was issued at a certain date (written on my exchange order)

I have booked my Japan Rail Pass but I have to push back my trip. Will I still be able to use my Japan Rail Pass?

IF YOU HAVE TO PUSH BACK YOUR TRIP LESS THAN 3 MONTHS.
When buying a Japan Rail Pass, you will receive a voucher to be exchanged for the actual Pass once in Japan. This exchange needs to take place within 3 months (90 days) of the purchase date. If, despite the trip modification, you manage to exchange your Japan Rail Pass within the 3 months, then you don't have to worry about the validity of your Japan Rail Pass.
IF YOU HAVE TO PUSH BACK YOUR TRIP MORE THAN 3 MONTHS.
However, if you need to push back your trip more than 3 months (90 days) then your voucher validity period will expire and you will not be able to exchange it for a Japan Rail Pass.
If you need to push back your trip 90 to 365 days, please make a new order online nearer the travel date and send us back the old pass for a refund.
Please note that there is a cancelation fee applied if a new order is not made through our website.
